EP4 HitTrax League

Rules

Rules version 2. These rules reflect the current league settings.

Teams play within their age division. Each team receives 8 regular-season games.

Top 4 teams qualify for single-elimination playoffs, including one championship game. Qualification may differ by division; see your division standings.

Seeding: Winning percentage → Most runs scored → Head-to-head record → Fewest runs allowed → Recorded random draw.

Regular season: 4 innings. No new inning starts after 30 minutes; finish the current inning. Ties are allowed.

Playoffs: complete 4 innings, then extra innings until a winner. The 30-minute target may be exceeded. No playoff mercy rule.

Regular-season mercy rule: 8-run lead after 3 innings.

Rosters: 3–4 registered players; at least 3 must be ready to play. No outside substitutes; the registered players may rotate. Forfeit when 5 minutes late without the minimum players.

Rosters lock after the team's 4th regular-season game. After lock, a player cannot be on multiple teams.

A player must actually appear in at least 2 regular-season games to play in the playoffs. Unplayed forfeits do not count as appearances.

How standings and seeds are decided

Teams are ranked in this order: 1) Winning percentage; 2) Most runs scored; 3) Head-to-head record; 4) Fewest runs allowed; 5) Recorded random draw. Winning percentage is wins plus half of ties, divided by games played. When a tie-break separates some tied teams but not others, the teams still tied start again from the first tie-break. A forfeit counts as a game played and a loss for the forfeiting team; runs are recorded as 0 to 0. Canceled and unplayed games are not counted, so teams can have different games played. Head-to-head applies only when every team in the tie has played every other team in the tie. A tie that no rule settles is decided by a random draw that staff record once and reuse.

This formula is locked once the first pool result is confirmed.

Code of conduct

Code Of Conduct Agreement

This agreement is made between Elite Per4mance (EP4) and the parent or guardian of the athlete.

Purpose

Elite Per4mance (EP4) exists to develop athletes through consistent training, accountability, and measurable progress. That only works inside a training environment that is safe, focused, and respectful for every athlete, family, and staff member. This Code of Conduct states what we expect from every athlete and every parent or guardian, at the facility and at any Elite Per4mance (EP4) event, practice, game, or trip.

Athlete Conduct

The athlete agrees to:

Show up ready to work, give honest effort, and stay coachable.

Treat every coach, staff member, teammate, and visitor with respect.

Follow all posted rules, safety guidelines, and staff instructions at all times. This matches the conduct commitment in the Elite Per4mance (EP4) Liability Waiver.

Never engage in bullying, harassment, fighting, taunting, or language directed to demean any person.

Use equipment and the facility with care, put equipment back where it belongs, and report anything broken or unsafe to staff right away.

Represent Elite Per4mance (EP4) with good sportsmanship toward opponents, umpires, and officials at every event.

Parent And Guardian Conduct

The parent or guardian agrees to:

Communicate with coaches and staff respectfully, and raise concerns privately with staff rather than during a training session or in front of athletes.

Allow coaches to coach. Instruction during sessions comes from Elite Per4mance (EP4) staff.

Model good sportsmanship at all events, including toward opposing teams, families, umpires, and officials.

Follow all facility policies, including drop-off and pick-up expectations.

Accountability

Our first response to a conduct issue is a conversation. The goal is coaching and accountability, not punishment. That said, consistent with the Liability Waiver, Elite Per4mance (EP4) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to warn, suspend, or remove any participant for unsafe conduct, misconduct, or violation of its policies, without refund. Serious or repeated violations by a parent or guardian can also lead to restrictions on facility access.

Acknowledgment

We have read this Code of Conduct, we understand it, and we agree to uphold it for as long as the athlete participates in Elite Per4mance (EP4) programs.
